Sabrina

A very sweet kitten who preferred to be the only pet after her foster mom spoiled her rotten.  A friend of her foster mom had an aunt who didn’t have any pets and was looking for a new companion who was very affectionate & would be very interactive-Sabrina was the perfect match!
Sammie (Siamese) and Gracie (Dilute Torti)

Brother & sister who were rescued from one of the local shelters are semi-feral kittens.  They turned around real quick in foster care and developed very loud purrs.  Sammie was quite popular, and he brought in a lot of adoption applications, but we wanted to find a home that would adopt them together since the 2 were such great friends.  We were lucky enough to find a very nice family who was very eager to adopt them.  In fact the entire family came to PetsMart to meet them & hold them.  Once they met, there was no denying them.

Sammie and Gracie’s adopters contacted us recently and reported that both cats are adjusting wonderfully and have even become buddies with the family dog, Shadow.  The pair seems to have made themselves right at home with their new family.  - “They are Great! Gracie likes to do this ballerina thing w/ her leg and we call her the fainting cat because she drops down in front of you all the time so you can pet her. Sammie as you can see is very regal. He thinks he is all that and a bag of chips…”

Sarc

1st kitten to be adopted out at our on-site Davis Co-op adoptions. Sarc's new family says he is adjusting well to their house and other cat. They are very excited that he has made such a nice addition to their household.

Shadow

A kitten with a great attitude that has already won his new family over but still has a way to go with the family dog.

Sheeka
sheeka2.jpg
Sheeka was raised in foster home since she was an orphan kitten that needed to be bottle-raised.  She had been thru a few foster homes, but the last one she was in lasted 6 months.  Her foster parents were beginning to consider keeping her permanently since no one seemed interested in adopting her.  Just as they were ready to fill out the adoption papers for her, we got a very serious application from a young woman who loved her just from her picture.  She had a cat at home that needed a buddy, and she was looking for someone with a lot of personality.  She visited Sheeka at her foster home & knew that she fit exactly what she was looking for.  Although it took a while, Sheeka finally found the permanent home that she deserved.
Sophie
Black Cat
10 week old kitten socialized by Sheena and Shuka.
Sprinkler

Her new owner took it as a sign that she acted like a close second to the family cat that had recently passed on.
Storm
aki_storm.jpg
From a litter of 6 feral kittens rescued from the shelter and socialized into a cute & cuddly lap kitty. Her new mom has told us that she has adjusted to her new life and is doing well in her new home.  Storm has been renamed Aki which means "autumn" in Japanese.  Her family emailed us the following…”We love Aki and are very happy to have her as an addition to our family. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to adopt such a beautiful kitty.”
Talon

Adopted by a girl who had found a pregnant mama cat & turned it over to the FFO.  She wasn’t looking for another pet at that time, but after she moved she came back to our organization to find a friend for her lonely cat.  Talon’s new mom emailed us to tell us the following…”Thank you so much for all that you do, I just adore Talon and I am so glad that you introduced him to me.”
Tangerine

Tangerine has made herself right at home with her new family- “She is the sweetest kitten!  She has already found a favorite toy that she totes around with her from room to room and won't let any of our other kitties play with it. She is a snuggle-bug and loves to cuddle. We are all so happy that she is a part of our lives! Thank you SO much!!”  Tangerine’s mom had this to say about her in Dec. 2005…”Tangerine is such a joy!!  We love her so much!  She is a very busy little girl.”

Teeter

Teeter got adopted on her first visit to PetsMart as well as her other siblings.  She is a very fun loving kitten, and should do well in her new home playing with the kids of the household.  Although she looked very similar to her brother & sisters in the same cage with her, it was her pink color that grabbed the attention of the youngest kid in the family.
Tiger

Fit into his foster family so well that they decided to keep him after months of no else wanting him.  He should be glad that he will continue to live with his best friend (the family’s dog).
Tiger Lily

The wait was worth it when she was adopted by a family who had been looking for just the right in-your-face-kitten.
Turtle

A snowshoe siamese adopted for someone's very deserving grandmother to be a loving companion. Turtle's new owner has informed us that she loves her new kitty, who has bonded to her very closely. We are happy to hear that such a nice match was made.
Tux
tux2.jpg
Adopted for her foster mom by the roommates who knew that Tux could never be loved any greater than she was in her foster home. She is currently enjoying playing with the other foster kitties that come in and out only temporarily while she knows she will never have to go anywhere.
Tycho
tycho_5.jpg

Adopted once and returned because of issues he developed using the litter box. He was fostered again for a few months until we managed to come across Carol at Rocky Road's Horse Ranch in Davis. She offered to take Tycho into her barn and her home & give him a safe environment where he has access to both indoors and out. We hope he will be the Meeter-Greeter cat to all of the people who visit the ranch daily. He already gets along great with her dog; he has to adjust to the horses but he has 3 kitty friends to play with & learn the ropes from. A big thanks to Carol for giving Tycho a safe and loving home to grow old in.

Update: Although Tyco gave his new family a few scares by hiding a little too well his first week and wandering a little too far on another occasion, he eventually made himself right at home and learned not to stray. “Within days, he was master of the barn and devoted disciple of Trouble, one of the other cats on the ranch.” … “He is one happy cat; shy but affectionate, and learning to be brave in order to put Sheba, the German Sheppard, in her place.”
